As the New York City Marathon kicks off there will be a bunch of familiar faces among the crowd. Whether they are on hand to fulfill a lifetime goal or to run for a cause that is close to their hearts, the celebrities are ready to hit the ground running in today’s annual race!
Which celebrities can you expect to see in today’s New York City Marathon?
Al Roker. The Today show weatherman has signed up to be able to cross one of the items off of his bucket list and fulfill his dream of finishing the race.
Ethan Zohn. The Survivor winner and cancer survivor is finally making his first run in the race after two failed tries. Last year, the reality star was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and the year before he tore his ACL while training for the race.
Edison Pena. The Chilean miner spent the weeks he was trapped underground training by running up to six miles each day through the underground tunnels.
Robin Quivers. The Howard Stern sidekick is running to raise awareness for healthy lifestle choices and nutrition.
Ryan Sutter. The Bachelorette husband and fireman is running to raise money to support an organization that offers free outdoor programs for young people that have cancer
Bobby Flay. The celebrity chef and Food Network star is running in his third marathon and hopes to finish in under four hours.
Anthony Edwards. The former ER star is a lifelong runner running to raise funds for the charity Shoe4Africa.
Jared Fogel. The ‘Subway Guy’ is running to raise awareness for fitness and raise funds for the Jared Foundation.
