Michael Vick unstoppable as Eagles crumple Redskins

(Reuters) - Michael Vick passed, ran and dazzled in an astonishing performance to propel the Philadelphia Eagles to a 59-28 rout of the Washington Redskins on Monday.

Mesmerizing despite steady rain, Vick became the first NFL player to throw for at least 300 yards and rush for 50 while tossing four scores and rushing for two more in one game.

Vick threw three of his four touchdown passes and ran for both scores in the first two quarters alone as the Eagles (6-3) exploded for a franchise record-tying 45 points in the first half and buried their NFC East Division opponents.

Michael Vick Is an MVP Candidate

When the Philadelphia Eagles have signed Michael Vick boldly after his stay in prison, which could have penetrated more than a year later, would be a candidate for NFL MVP? Vick had not thrown a pass since 2006 Professional and disappeared at high speed when presented at training camp last year by Philadelphia. Now, 15 months later, has finally emerged as an unstoppable force that we imagine he would become when he was drafted first overall by the Atlanta Falcons in 2001.

Michael Vick is playing the best football we've seen him play (probably dominated the game from the prison as quarterback of all time, though).
