Columbus Day Parade NYC 2010: Route and Details – As part of the yearly Columbus Day celebration, New York City will be having a parade today, October 11, 2010 at 11:30 am to 3pm. The route of the parade will be from 47th Street to 72th Street.
It is the 66th annual Columbus Day Parade in which around 35,000 people, and over 100 bands will participate. Millions of people are expected to watch as it features different kinds of music and entertainment such as floats, folk dancers, singers, vintage cars and many more.
For those who love vintage cars, the Columbus Day Parade in New York City will feature Maseratis, including the 1931 V4 Zagato, 1953 A6GCS, 1956 300S, 1960 5000GT, 1970 Ghibli SS and the 2010 Gran Turismo Convertibles.
This year, financial reporter Maria Bartiromo serves as the Grand Marshall. She is also a resident from Brooklyn. For those who cannot attend the Columbus Day Parade, you can view it on TV through NBC as they will have a live coverage of it starting at 12 noon.
