NFL Results Week 7 Results: Santos Fall Again survive Steelers, Titans and Eagles pump

It is quite rare for a NFL game ended after the first quarter. This was the case Sunday in Colorado, where the Raiders scored 24 points in the first quarter en route to a 59-14 thrashing of the Denver Broncos ridiculous.

Oakland 59 points were the most scored the team's franchise history. All these points have been on the board late in the third quarter.

The Raiders took a huge 328 meters in the game, led by 165 yards and three touchdowns to Darren McFadden, who averaged 10.3 yards per carry in the day. Michael Bush contributed 52 yards and a touchdown, and Marcel Reece had 39 yards and a touchdown of their own. Jason Campbell threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns again, and the other Chris Johnson returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown Kyle Orton in the first quarter.

Perhaps most impressive, the Oakland defense completely shut down Orton and one of the best receivers in the NFL, Brandon Lloyd. Orton did throw two touchdown passes, both for the runner Knowshon Moreno, but only completed 12 of 29 passes for 198 yards. He entered the game averaging 324 yards per game. Lloyd caught one pass for 46 yards.

This was one of the most dominating performances in recent history for any team, anywhere. Oakland is now 3-4 on the season, second behind Kansas City in the AFC West. Denver, 2-5, is at the bottom of the division with San Diego.
